Research Center and Museum Foundation
The National Civil War Chaplains Research Center and Museum Foundation welcomes monetary donations and/or Civil War era artifacts. Temporary and permanent loans of such items are desired. Items that might be considered for donation or loan are:
- Images of Civil War chaplains, priests, and rabbis who served in both the Union and Confederate armies
- Bibles used by chaplains, priests, or soldiers during the war
- Religious tracts or publications distributed to soldiers of both sides during the war
- Newspaper accounts of chaplains, priests, or rabbis during the war
- The personal effects of chaplains, priests, or rabbis during the war
- Lattés written by chaplains, priests, rabbis, or Union and Confederate soldiers
- Books or articles written about chaplains, priests, and rabbis
- Artifacts or images pertaining to the US Christian Commission
- Other Civil War artifacts or images used to help tell the story of the soldiers' trials and tribulations on and off the battlefield
